If you are considering taking a new job in the construction industry or if your business is currently seeking to recruit new construction workers in Victoria, finding quality White Card training is bound to be one of your most urgent priorities. Obtaining a White Card is compulsory for all construction workers across Australia – even those seeking temporary work.

During the course, you will cover everything you need to know to work safely on a construction site, from construction hazards and control measures to relevant legislation and industry regulations. You will also learn about Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) communication, reporting mechanisms and incident response procedures.

Rich River First Aid’s (RRFA) Work safely in the construction industry course will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills to work in a range of construction sites. On completion of the construction induction course you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.

 

Learning Objectives

    • An overview of relevant legislation and industry regulations
    • Construction hazards and control measures
    • OHS communication and reporting mechanisms
    • OHS incident response procedures

    Each workshop is facilitated by a member of our highly experienced training team, and includes trainer presentations, small group work, open group discussions and in class activities – so your participation will be required! Assessment activities include a hazard identification task, written assignment, and multiple choice questions.

     

Qualification(s) Issued

On successful completion of this course you will be issued a statement of attainment in: CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry. Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Rich River First Aid (RTO 40990).

Course Duration

Face to face classroom training: 6 hours
