CPR

You will gain the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR on an adult, child and infant, to describe alternative methods for delivering rescue breaths and how to manage a victim of drowning.

The course topics include the DRSABCD action plan and responding to emergency situations, managing unconscious casualties, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using a defibrillator (AED).

Provide First Aid

A comprehensive first aid course covering a range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations and provide a first aid response to a casualty. It covers the most common first aid injuries and illnesses.

The course topics include the DRSABCD action plan and responding to emergency situations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), burns, asthma, anaphylaxis, sprains and strains.

HLTAID012

Provide First Aid In Education and Care Setting

This course covers child specific first aid in many high-risk areas such as anaphylaxis and asthma as well as common injuries and resuscitation. The Australian Children’s Education & Care Authority (ACECQA) has endorsed this course as meeting their requirements for anaphylaxis, asthma, and first aid training.

The course topics include the DRSABCD action plan, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid principles, asthma and anaphylaxis.

HLTAID011 (Continuous Learning)

Provide First Aid

This course is for people who have completed their HLTAID003/011 First Aid training in the last 12 to 18 months. If you have completed your course in that time frame, but not with Rich River First Aid please email your certificate for our records info@richriverfirstaid.com.au.

HLTAID012 (Continuous Learning)

Provide First Aid In Education and Care Setting

This course is for people who have completed their HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting in the last 12 to 18 months. HLTAID014

Provide Advanced First Aid

Successful completion of this course will provide trainees with the knowledge and skills to be able to provide first aid in the work place. It provides background knowledge of the causes, symptoms and the effects of injuries, as well as emergency treatment.

HLTAID015

Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy

This course provides advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy course gives participants the skills and knowledge required to provide advanced resuscitation in an emergency situation. Participants will learn how to utilise specialised first aid equipment; stabilise a casualty where medical aid has been delayed; maintain life in an unconscious casualty with the use of oxygen equipment; and operate a defibrillator unit in order to maintain life in an adult casualty in cardiac arrest.

HLTAID016

Manage First Aid Services and Resources

This course should be undertaken by those in nominated occupational first aid or management roles who are required to establish, maintain, and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace.

Participants will learn to develop and maintain first aid action plans in consultation with relevant parties and take part in incident debriefing or evaluation to improve future operations and address individual needs.

Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively fulfil their duties as a Warden in the event of an emergency. The course covers the obligations and requirements of a Warden across a range of emergencies, and how they integrate into the Emergency Control Organisation structure.

Lead an Emergency Control Organisation

The course explains the obligations and requirements of a Warden and the Chief Warden/Deputy Chief Warden across a range of emergencies, and how they integrate into the Emergency Control Organisation structure. This unit covers the competency required to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to the emergency incident area.

Confine Small Emergencies in a Facility

This course covers emergencies in a facility which include incidents such as small fires that can be controlled using a fire extinguisher; chemical spills that can be controlled using facility personal protective clothing and equipment and a spill kit; or a vehicle accident where there is no significant injury or damage. Participants must be physically capable of operating any equipment associated with containing a small emergency.

Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry

The nationally recognised “Construction Induction” or “White Card” course. This course will teach students the importance of Occupational Health & Safety in the construction industry & identifies the hazards that students may come across on a construction site. Students will discuss ways to minimise risks on a work site, including PPE that may be worn. This course is for individuals who require mandatory work health & safety training, under the nationally recognised white card course.

Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

Our confined spaces training will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to conduct a risk assessment of the working environment and provides you or your staff with practical experience and knowledge on how to safely enter confined spaces to conduct work-related activities under an issued permit. The course is suitable for people who work in or around confined spaces with content and scenarios tailored to suit your relevant work environment and operations.

This working at heights course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to conduct a risk assessment of the working environment and will ensure that you have the practical experience and knowledge required to safely conduct work-related activities from heights with a focus on fall prevention rather than fall arrest.

This nationally recognised unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain breathing apparatus and equipment in an irrespirable atmosphere, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment.

Gas Test Atmospheres

This nationally recognised unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to test work atmospheres, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work.

It applies to situations where an individual may be required to carry out gas testing of an atmosphere prior to entering a specific area or work space.

This nationally recognised unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain breathing apparatus and equipment in an irrespirable atmosphere, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment.

Gas Test Atmospheres

This nationally recognised unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to test work atmospheres, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work.

It applies to situations where an individual may be required to carry out gas testing of an atmosphere prior to entering a specific area or work space.

Perform Rescue from a live LV Panel

This workshop (previously known as UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel) will train you in the essential knowledge and skills you require to perform rescue from a live LV panel. It covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace, in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
